Submissions

Scholarly essays should be between 5,000 and 9,000 words. Shorter manuscripts on topics related to Jeffers, typically up to 4,000 words, are also acceptable. Submissions by email attachment, in Microsoft Word format, are preferred. Submissions and queries can be sent to Jim Baird at jbaird@unt.edu..

The author’s name should appear on the initial page of the manuscript only. Citation of Jeffers’s poetry should be from the Stanford Collected Poetry, abbreviated CP. Until the Collected Letters (Stanford) is completed, letters may be cited from the first volume (abbreviated CL), the Ridgeway Selected Letters (abbreviated SL), and the Robinson and Una Jeffers Correspondent series in issues of the Robinson Jeffers Newsletter (see RJN Index, issue 100, Fall 1996). Formatting should follow the MLA Handbook, 7th ed. with parenthetical citations, endnotes, and works cited.
