2013 RJA Conference to be held in Charleston, SC; Nikky Finney will deliver keynote address

The Robinson Jeffers Association is pleased to announce that the 2013 RJA Conference will be held February 15-17 in beautiful, historic Charleston, SC., the city that was was named the #1 tourist destination in the world earlier this week. RJA is also honored to have South Carolina native and 2011 National Book Award winner, Nikky Finney, as keynote speaker. Ripple Huth, scholar, docent, and dear friend of RJA, remembered

RJA extends deepest condolences to the family of Ripple Huth, our dear friend and colleague who passed away on 3 October. One could always count on Ripple’s kindness and generosity, and her immeasurable contribution to Jeffers studies will endure. A memorial service will be held on 20 October in Monterey, CA. Scott Slovic and George Hart to Deliver Keynote Addresses

RJA Conference Deadline Extended

The 2012 RJA conference is shaping up nicely, and presenters will cover a wide array of topics concerning Jeffers’ importance. Because many proposals were received in the past week, the deadline has been extended to 15 April in case anyone is still interested in submitting a proposal. More details will follow. Please be sure to book your room at Asilomar if you intend to stay on the conference grounds, as 25 April is the deadline to receive the RJA rate. Also, please note that the cancellation period for Asilomar (60 days prior to the conference) has passed. So all room reservation fees are non-refundable.
